LaTocha Scott Says She Was ‘Hurt’ Sister Tamika Didn’t Show More Loyalty To Her When She Left Xscape
LaTocha Scott is getting candid about feeling betrayed by her sister Tamika amid all the drama with Xscape.
During a recent interview on NeNe Leakes’ new talk show, LaTocha spoke about feeling “hurt” when Tamika didn’t back her decision to step away from the group.
LaTocha claimed that years ago, when Tamika got pregnant, someone from Xscape’s team wanted to kick her out of the group, since they hadn’t reached mainstream success yet. According to LaTocha, she stepped up for her sister:
“I couldn’t give up on my sister. You know what I told them? If she goes, I go. That could’ve been my whole career.”

LaTocha’s decision to leave Xscape first made headlines in late 2022, during the group’s attempts to reunite for performances and projects. Drama quickly unfolded, fueled by creative differences, management disputes, and personal tension between LaTocha and the rest of the group, including her sister Tamika.
Things hit a boiling point during the filming of Bravo’s “SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B”, where viewers saw emotional confrontations between the famed siblings. Tamika accused LaTocha and her husband, Rocky Bivens, of mismanaging and allegedly stealing money from her — a claim LaTocha denied.
Following the fallout, LaTocha pursued a solo gospel career, while the remaining members of Xscape — Kandi Burruss, Tiny Harris, and Tamika Scott — continue to perform together.
Can you relate to LaTocha’s perspective, or did she expect too much from her Tamika?
