RHOA’s Angela Oakley Clarifies Rumor That Her Husband Charles Oakley Had A ‘Side Baby’: ‘It Was My Oldest Daughter’s Father’

Angela Oakley is clearing up a years-old rumor that her husband, retired NBA star Charles Oakley, fathered a child outside their marriage.

Appearing on The Viall Files podcast, the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star was asked directly about the speculation. “Charles did not have a side baby,” she said firmly.

Angela Oakley then revisited the source of the gossip, a moment years ago when talk show host Wendy Williams publicly claimed Charles Oakley had cheated and had a child. The claim stemmed from an offhand comment Angela Oakley made at an event where Wendy Williams and Charles Oakley were both present. At the time, Wendy Williams’ own husband had fathered a child during an affair.

According to Wendy, Angela approached her and said: “Wendy, it’s just a baby,” encouraging her to stay with her husband. Wendy later said she asked Angela if she had experienced the same thing, and Angela replied yes… leading Wendy to conclude Charles Oakley had done the same.

But Angela says Wendy got it wrong. “She added that he [Charles] had a baby on me,” Angela said on the podcast. “It was not Charles Oakley, no. It was my oldest daughter’s father.”
