Caleb Wilson, Southern University Student Who Died In Alleged Hazing Incident, Honored By His Mother At Graduation
A mother’s graduation became a moving tribute to her late son.
This past weekend, Urania Wilson graduated from Southern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, carrying a photo of her son, Caleb Wilson, as she walked across the stage.
Caleb, a 20-year-old junior studying Mechanical Engineering, passed away in February after collapsing during an alleged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity initiation. Reports say Caleb was punched in the chest, which caused him to collapse and suffer a seizure. He was later pronounced de@d at the hospital.

Caleb McCray, a Southern alum, was arrested for criminal hazing and manslaughter, while Isaiah Smith and Kyle Thurman also face felony hazing charges.
