Diddy’s Lawyers Call For Mistrial, Claim Arson Investigator’s Testimony Casts Doubt On His Involvement In Kid Cudi Car Bombing
Diddy’s motion for a mistrial has been denied.
_______________
As previously reported, Kid Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, testified in Diddy’s ongoing sex trafficking trial that he was pretty certain the media mogul was behind his Porsche being set on fire in 2012.
Cudi claimed Diddy retaliated in a fit of rage after learning the rapper was dating his ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. However, per reports, no physical evidence has directly linked Diddy to the incident.
_______________
Diddy’s attorneys subsequently argued that fingerprints found on the Molotov cocktail used in the incident could have cleared him, had other prints not been lost.

_______________
According to the arson investigator, fingerprints belonging to an unidentified woman were recovered from the bomb’s bottle. The investigator also testified that Cudi previously provided a fingerprint card with Diddy’s prints after Diddy allegedly broke into his home a year prior. However, those earlier prints were reportedly destroyed.
_______________
Diddy’s legal team said the destroyed prints could have been exculpatory, suggesting that if the prints from the burglary didn’t match those at the bombing scene, it would strengthen their defense. Despite their argument, the judge rejected the mistrial request. Diddy faces life in prison if convicted on all charges.
