Tyler, The Creator Says Artists Need To Be Delusional: ‘I Was Legit The 12-Year-Old Delusional Kid’
Tyler, The Creator says it’s okay to be delusional.
In a new Tyler Talks video, the artist spoke about the power of creative vision and why delusion plays a big part in it. He said,
“To make stuff, you gotta be delusional. And when you’re delusional, you need people around you that trust you.”
Tyler continued,
“I’m delusional, but I knew what I wanted to do since I was legit five years old. … I was legit the 12-year-old delusional kid like, ‘So I’mma get a Grammy,’ and n***as was like, ‘Shut up, Charizard just beat Pikachu.’ So, just be delusional!”
