Timbaland Slammed By Fans After Announcing New AI Entertainment Company & First Non-Human Artist
Timbaland’s continued shift into the AI music industry is facing some serious criticism online.
The iconic music producer is being called out by fans and critics alike after announcing his new AI entertainment company, Stage Zero, and its first AI-generated “artist,” Tata, who’s reportedly set to drop a debut single soon.
Many are blasting Timbaland, arguing that despite his legendary status in the music world, he’s fueling a system that could ultimately put talented human musicians out of work.
This isn’t the first time he’s faced backlash over the matter. In 2023, Timbaland sparked controversy when he revealed plans to commercialize AI software that would allow producers to use the voices of late music legends, such as Biggie Smalls and Michael Jackson. However, this latest launch marks his most official step toward leading the AI music wave, and people definitely have thoughts.
