ChatGPT Is Back Online After 10-Hour Shortage Leaves Users Panicked
On June 10, #ChatGPT went down for over 10 hours and left users around the world unable to access the AI chatbot. The issue affected both free and paid tiers, and even disrupted OpenAI’s image generator #Sora.
OpenAI confirmed early on that they were aware of the issue, though no explanation was given for what caused it. By the end of the workday, most users had regained access.
Social media, however, had already spiraled. “ChatGPT is down! That’s the kind of stress I don’t need in my life,” one person tweeted. Another wrote, “chat gpt hasn’t been working for a few days and i learned how dependent i am on it.”
