Memphis Bleek is sharing some insight on Jay-Z’s rise to power.
The rapper explained that Jay had to get distant from much of his crew in order to elevate. While Bleek understood this transition, Beanie Sigel and others did not.
He even says he tried to explain to Sigel that he should pay closer attention to his Roc-A-Fella business. In one instance, Bleek told Sigel to inquire about why his State Property clothing was being manufactured by Roc-A-Wear, Jay’s clothing line.
