Actress Regan Aliyah Clears Up Speculation About Her Race After Being Accused Of Skin Darkening To ‘Appear Black’
Rising actress Regan Aliyah is setting the record straight about her race and skin complexion.
The 25-year-old fired back at an internet user who accused her of being a “mixed” person, allegedly darkening her skin tone during a recent photoshoot to “appear Black.” The user shared comparison images, claiming Regan appeared lighter-skinned in casual photos than she did in her cover shoot with MOD Magazine.

Regan, who stars in recent hit series like Marvel’s Ironheart and Netflix’s XO, Kitty, responded by shutting down the claims. She clarified that she is “fully Black” and attributed the difference in appearance to lighting.
She also posted a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot, showing off her brown skin tone, without any editing or body makeup, to further silence the accusations.
