UMG Wants To Be Removed From ‘Making The Band’ Star Sara Rivers’ Abu$e Lawsuit Against Diddy
Universal MusicGroup wants out!
Former Making the Band star #SaraRivers named UMG as one of several dozen defendants in her explosive lawsuit accusing #Diddy of s*xual harassment and inhumane treatment, but the music label is now asking to be dismissed from the case.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, UMG argues the federal claims against them are preempted by New York state law, are “time barred,” and that they’re only mentioned in 10 out of the 1,003 paragraphs in the complaint. In short, they say she doesn’t have a case.
A judge has not yet ruled on the motion.
