‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Starts Filming Sequel w/ Original Cast
Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci are officially back as filming begins for “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”
Kenneth Branagh joins the cast as Miranda Priestly’s husband, adding fresh intrigue to the beloved fashion world drama.
Disney’s 20th Century Studios confirmed the news on Instagram with a cryptic post featuring two red devilish pumps. While plot details remain under wraps, the sequel reportedly centers on Miranda Priestly as she navigates the fall of traditional magazine publishing. She clashes with Blunt’s character, now a powerful luxury executive controlling the ad dollars Miranda needs.
Hathaway’s Andy Sachs—who left Runway for a newspaper gig in the original film—will also return, though her new role in the story is still a mystery.
David Frankel, Aline Brosh McKenna, and producer Karen Rosenfelt are all returning. “The Devil Wears Prada 2” hits theaters May 1, 2026.
