‘Power’ Prequel ‘Origins’ Gets 18-Episode Order At Starz w/ ‘Raising Kanan’ Star MeKai Curtis Set To Return
The extension of the “Power” universe is meant to be one for the books!
News broke last March that a prequel spinoff of the popular series, rightfully titled “Power: Origins,” was in the works. We now know that season one of the new project will feature well over a dozen episodes, 18 episodes to be exact. Per reports, “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” star MeKai Curtis will reprise his role of Kanan Stark, and the lucky actors who will portray Ghost and Tommy have yet to be revealed.
Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora, respectively, tackled the parts in the original series.

“Origins” is the 4th spinoff to follow “Power,” which aired from 2014 until 2020. Starz says the prequel is a “fun, rambunctious exploration of a new time period in the ‘Power’ franchise” that will “highlight the unbridled audacity of young men on the rise, determined to become legends in the game.”
