Social media users are debating whether Tip had a point when he argued that some artists get an extra boost to their street cred simply because of where they’re from.
As an example, he claimed that if New York rap star 50 Cent were actually from the Midwest, his career would be comparable to Nelly’s. He went on to argue that neither 50 Cent nor Nelly are strong lyricists.
