Damon Dash Calls New Artist Nicky Licky The ‘White’ & ‘Lesbian’ Version Of Aaliyah

Damon Dash is raising eyebrows with his latest artist introduction, calling rocker Nicky Licky a white, lesbian version of Aaliyah.

During a recent interview on “The Art of Dialogue,” the former Roc-A-Fella co-founder gushed over Nicky’s musical style and fashion sense, claiming she possessed similarities of the late R&B icon.

“To me, she’s like if Aaliyah was white. If Aaliyah was white, she’d be a lesbian. That’s her,” he said, pointing at Nicky.

The comparison seemingly caught Nicky off guard. Her reaction suggested she hadn’t heard the label before and whether or not it sticks remains to be seen.

Dash officially signed Nicky to his group The Black Guns, and she’s featured on their latest album “365.” He’s also taking her on tour this September, signaling a full push behind her career.
