Ciara Says People Who Call Husband Russell Wilson ‘Corny’ May Have Never Experienced Genuine Love: ‘They Just Don’t Know’
Ciara has shared her thoughts on why some people refer to her husband, Russell Wilson, as “corny.”
While speaking with The Breakfast Club hosts Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Jess Hilarious, the award-winning singer said that the ridicule doesn’t personally bother her, as she knows the NFL star is “the most amazing human being you can know.”
After DJ Envy noted that Russell is often criticized simply for taking care of his wife and their four children, including Ciara’s son, Future, from her previous relationship with the rapper of the same name, Ciara reflected on the root of the hate.

She suggested that those with the harshest opinions likely haven’t experienced the kind of love she and Russell share, stating: “Who’s the man saying it?… Have you ever loved someone right? Have you ever been loved right? Sometimes, to me, people speak out of pocket because they just don’t know.”
Ciara also admitted that while she’s occasionally tempted to fire back at her husband’s critics, she usually opts to take the high road.
Do you agree with Ciara’s thoughts on those who criticize Russell Wilson?
