Boosie Pleads Guilty To Federal Gun Charge, Faces Up To 15 Years Behind Bars
The details of Boosie’s plea deal have officially been released and could see the rapper facing several years behind bars.
According to reports, Boosie, born Torrence Hatch Jr., appeared in court on August 26th, where he pleaded guilty to one federal count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Earlier this month, Boosie revealed that he had accepted a plea deal, saying he was “tired of fighting.” The case stems from his 2023 arrest in San Diego, where police apprehended him after spotting him on Instagram Live with a firearm. He was later found with two g*ns and initially faced probation under state charges. However, that case was dismissed and later picked up by federal prosecutors.

Although a federal court initially dismissed the case as well, ruling it unconstitutional to ban felons with nonviolent dr*g charges from owning guns, the decision was later overturned, prompting Boosie to take the plea.
While the charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years, prosecutors have reportedly recommended 24 months. Boosie is scheduled to be sentenced on November 21st.
