While appearing in a video for GQ with “Highest 2 Lowest” director Spike Lee and co-star A$AP Rocky, Washington explained his stance.
“I don’t watch movies, man. I really don’t,” he said. “I’m just being honest with you! I don’t watch movies! I don’t go to the movies. I don’t watch movies. … I’m tired of movies.”
When Lee asked how many movies he had been in, Washington replied, “Too many. I think 50.”
Since his 1981 debut in “Carbon Copy,” he has gone on to win two Oscars for “Glory” and “Training Day.”
