Nicki Minaj shocked fans after firing off a series of explosive tweets aimed at Roc Nation executives, including Desiree Perez and Jay-Z (tagged as @sc) — before announcing she’s scrapping her upcoming album entirely.
“They came BEGGING the QUEEN for a tour & album & I said NOPE!!!!! LMFAO,” Nicki wrote. “They needed help from the QUEEN & the BARBZ… I called the Barbz on the secret BARB phone & it was a resounding NOOOOOOOO.”
The rapper also appeared to take direct aim at Roc Nation’s CEO, Desiree Perez, writing:
“Hearing Desiree Perez talking bout how she was begging for 40MM & was told ‘no’ was just ???… OH BROKE NATION how’d you go so fing broke? Like who in their right fing mind would sign to you?”
Just an hour later, Nicki stunned her fans again, tweeting:
“Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore. No more music. Hope you’re happy now @sc. Bye, Barbz. Love you for life.”
The abrupt announcement left fans in disbelief, with many begging the rapper to reconsider. As of now, neither Roc Nation nor Desiree Perez have publicly responded to Nicki’s claims.
