Former NBA Star Rick Fox To Run For Legislative Seat In The Bahamas
#RickFox announced on Monday (Nov. 24) via Facebook that he is entering Bahamian politics by running for a legislative seat in the country’s next general election.
The three-time champion with the Los Angeles Lakers stated, “I’m stepping forward today because we cannot wait any longer to realize a Bahamas that we all envision is possible.”
Born in Toronto to a Canadian mother and a Bahamian father, Fox spent part of his youth in the Bahamas before embarking on his #NBA and entertainment career. He added in his statement, “As a candidate and as a leader for the Bahamas I will demand transparency, honesty, integrity while demanding a level of excellence from all of us.”
