Mariah the Scientist Says She Wants Marriage Without The Baby ‘Obligation’
Mariah the Scientist is clear about what she wants next and it starts with love, not pressure.
During a recent sit-down with Angie Martinez, the R&B singer opened up about her vision for marriage and why she wants to separate commitment from immediate parenthood. Mariah the Scientist, 28, shared that settling down is on her mind, but on her own terms.
“I want to be married,” Mariah said. “I can’t speak for everybody but that’s what I’m doing.”
While she does hope to have children someday, she explained that she wants to ease into that chapter.
“I just want a commitment that doesn’t involve an obligation to a baby,” she said. “I just want it to be out of love, not out of responsibility.”
Mariah has been dating Young Thug since 2021 and reconciled with him in October following a brief split. She’s also grown close to his six children, despite previously calling dating a man with kids a “dealbreaker.”
What are your thoughts on Mariah’s approach to parenthood?
