Mariah the Scientist has some serious sparkle on her ring finger! ?

Last night (Dec. 16), #YoungThug popped the big question while on stage at his Hometown Hero: Young Thug & Friends benefit concert in #Atlanta.

The proposal quickly went viral, and photos have since surfaced of Mariah showing off her shining new ring. Naturally, the internet had plenty to say about the engagement. While some fans of the “Burning Blue” singer say they’re sticking beside her no matter what, others have criticized Mariah for getting engaged to someone who previously cheated.

If you recall, following Thug’s release from jail, several phone calls he made while incarcerated were leaked. In some of the audio, the rapper openly discussed cheating on Mariah and even claimed she loved him “too much.” Thug later apologized and revealed in an interview that the pair had broken up at the time. However, it’s clear the two have since reconciled and are now ready to take the next step in their relationship.
