Kai Cenat Continues To Speak Out About Mental Health Despite Negative Feedback: ‘IDC If People Look At Me As A Joke’
#KaiCenat is continuing to use his platform to raise awareness about mental health.
Last week, the popular streamer shared a candid video discussing the importance of protecting one’s mental space, revealing that he had been struggling, though he noted that “it has been getting better.” Kai continued the conversation on X today (Dec. 23), making it clear that despite some negative reactions to his honesty, he has no plans to stop speaking out.
Addressing the criticism, Kai clarified, “Im not sad, I’m not depressed but I need to bring awareness to mental health after some of the feedback I’ve been seeing.” He added that the pushback gave him “a glimpse of why people don’t speak up about this more often.” Kai also admitted that streaming caused him to lose “touch of reality,” prompting him to step back and spend time with family and friends.
Emphasizing why he feels compelled to keep talking about the issue, Kai said, “I can’t imagine the things that people are going through on a deeper level, so for those people, let me speak up a little LOUDER, idc if people look at me as a joke.” He also shared that #anime has played a significant role in helping improve his #mentalhealth.
