Ludacris & Nelly Face Backlash For Upcoming “Rock The Country” Performances: Money Makes Most Forget About Their Own People’
Fans of #Ludacris and Nelly appear to be raising eyebrows over the rappers’ latest booking.
The two hitmakers are slated to take the stage at this year’s Rock The Country festival, a multi-city tour that primarily features country and rock acts and stops in small towns across the U.S. According to the festival’s website, “Rock The Country is more than just a festival — it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and the spirit that’s carried America through 250 years.” Along with #Nelly and Ludacris, the lineup includes #KidRock, Jelly Roll, Blake Shelton, Creed, and more. Notably, Luda and Nelly are currently the only rappers listed on the bill.
Reaction online has been mixed. One X user wrote, “I knew about Nelly’s ass, but Ludacris?! Man, this is disappointing.” Another added, “Money makes most forget about their own people. They want money and never want a chance of being poor. They don’t care.”Still, others came to the artists’ defense, arguing that the booking alone doesn’t suggest any wrongdoing or political affiliation.
#TJBCrew, is the backlash justified, or are fans overreacting? #TJBReacts
