“Queer Eye” Star Karamo Brown Skips Multiple Live Interviews After Feeling ‘Mentally & Emotionally Abused For Years,’ Leaving Co-stars ‘Surprised’
Prayers up for #KaramoBrown!
The #QueerEye star and co-host has left many, including his fellow Fab Five members, stunned after skipping press ahead of season 10 to prioritize his mental health.
Karamo was scheduled to join Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, and Jeremiah Brent for an appearance on TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle, but instead sent a video explaining that he has felt “mentally and emotionally abused for years” and chose to step back for his own peace.
He also passed on an interview with CBS Mornings anchor #GayleKing over concerns about being bullied. Reflecting on Karamo’s absence, Antoni said, “Surprised is a fair understatement…we’ve been doing this for almost a decade — which is pretty wild to believe — and families are complicated and we’re definitely not excluded from that. But I think two things can exist at the same time.” Jonathan added that he’s proud of Karamo for centering what he needs.
Thoughts on this brewing drama?
