UPDATE: Chad Johnson Laughs Off $100 Million Defamation Lawsuit: ‘Good Luck Getting A Dime Out Of Me’
Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson isn’t losing any sleep after being named in a $100 million defamation lawsuit.
The retired football star turned commentator reacted on X after someone replied to an unrelated post he shared, saying, “You’re getting sued ?” Firing back in true #Ochocinco fashion, Chad responded, “Yeah good luck getting a dime out of me.” He was named in the lawsuit along with several others, including #ShannonSharpe’s media company, various media outlets, and #DKMetcalf, stemming from a December dispute between DK and a Lions fan.
During a Detroit Lions vs. Pittsburgh #Steelers game, the fan, later identified as Ryan Kennedy, said something to DK that prompted the Steelers wide receiver to reach over the railing and grab him. While the exact words are unclear and stories conflict, speculation emerged that Kennedy used slurs toward DK, a narrative Chad reportedly supported while discussing the incident on his Nightcap podcast alongside co-host Shannon. Kennedy, however, has adamantly denied this, claiming DK was upset simply because he called the athlete by his legal first name, DeKaylin. His attorney says the allegations that Kennedy used the n-word and misogynistic slurs during the altercation have caused damage to his reputation, business, and personal life.
#TJBCrew, how do you think this will play out in court?
