Jaden Smith Says He Wants To Open Skid Row Building Serving Free Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Daily
Jaden Smith is thinking long-term when it comes to fighting hunger in Los Angeles — and he’s ready to plant permanent roots in Skid Row.
“Honestly, my dream in life is to have a building on Skid Row where I can give out free meals every single day: breakfast, lunch, dinner,” he said. “I can do things inside of it—I can create jobs and, like, a good vibe. That’s my real dream, that’s my long term goal,” he explained on social media.
Smith explained that while his “I Love You” vegan food truck has been serving unhoused residents since 2019, he wants something more permanent.
“We don’t have a brick and mortar store right now. We don’t have a place that we can be set up at all times, but I want to have that and I want the community to help us get there in the future, so that’s the plan.”
For Jaden, the mission is clear: build a space that feeds people daily and creates opportunity in the process.
Is this a good idea?
