Russell Westbrook’s Wife Nina Westbrook Shares Graphic De@th Threat Over Alleged Sports Betting Rage
Russell Westbrook’s wife, Nina Westbrook, is speaking out after receiving a graphic death threat directed at her and her husband.
The licensed marriage and family therapist shared a screenshot of an email with the subject line “F#ck you,” which included profanity and a message that read in part, “I hope you both die in a car crash.” The email, sent Feb. 19, 2026 at 9:48 PM, was signed “Sent from my iPhone.”
Nina publicly connected the message to sports betting, writing, “The negative effects of sports betting. Brings out the worst in ppl smh..”
In a follow-up statement, she said the incident was “not an isolated incident,” adding that it’s something she and her husband consider “routine.” She also expressed growing concern for athletes.
“As an LMFT, I have a keen understanding of the psychological implications and dangers of sports betting and gambling,” she wrote. “Gambling is a highly addictive behavior.”
Nina added that threatening behavior toward athletes and their families after games has “proven to be one of the early results of amped up sports betting.”
