The multi-hyphenate superstar shared a short video on her socials reassuring fans. “I’m 100%, A-okay. You can’t believe what you read on the internet or see, can’t believe nothing now…I’m good,” she said with a big smile. Her post comes in response to a wild rumor claiming she had passed away. While it’s unclear how the false report started, it gained enough traction that Queen Latifah, normally very private, felt compelled to hop online and set the record straight herself.

The clarification from the Equalizer star follows her recently inked deal with #Lifetime to produce three original films through her production company, Flavor Unit Entertainment. It’s nice to see Queen Latifah healthy, thriving, and continuing to make big moves in entertainment!
