Married to Medicine’s Cecil Whitmore Responds After Fan Claims Dr. Simone Is “Footing the Bill”
A conversation about the current season of Married to Medicine quickly turned heated online after Cecil Whitmore, husband of longtime cast member Dr. Simone Whitmore, engaged directly with fans criticizing him on social media.
Cecil initially sparked the discussion when he asked viewers what they believe would make a “good season” of the Bravo series. “Real talk!! What would a good season look like. A fight? An affair? One side says it needs to be more positive. The other side says there isn’t enough drama. Just curious,” he wrote on X.
One fan quickly responded with a blunt suggestion, telling Cecil he should “set Simone free,” implying the couple’s marriage could become part of the show’s storyline. Cecil pushed back at the idea, questioning whether viewers really wanted to see their relationship fall apart for the sake of entertainment.
“Is that all it would take for the show to be great? Break up a 30 year marriage so she can be single and trying to find a man!!!!!” he wrote, referencing the couple’s decades-long relationship.
The conversation escalated further when another commenter suggested Simone financially supports him. Cecil firmly denied that claim, writing, “Just so yall know Simone ain’t footing no bill for me.”
He doubled down by defending his finances, adding that while he may be older than some of the men featured on the show, he’s confident in his own wealth and independence. “I’m very confident about MY net worth and financial independence. Google me!!!!!” he wrote.
