“The View” Co-Host Joy Behar Playfully Shades Sheryl Underwood Over “The Tall” Cancellation
What’s a little shade amongst friends?
#SherylUnderwood is guest co-hosting The View while regular co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin is on maternity leave, and it seems she’s having a kee. Earlier this week, the comedian reflected on her time on the now-canceled talk series The Talk and shared some lessons learned during its 15-season run. “I had gotten into a couple of problem discussions on The Talk,” she began, “and God let me live to correct some of the things I say –” Before Sheryl could finish, The View co-host #JoyBehar interjected with a little shade, “And God canceled that show.”
Sheryl took the comment in stride, joking that she’s currently on an “I need a job tour” and noting that Joy has had her own “situations with people.” When Joy quipped, “But, I’m still here,” a laughing Sheryl added, “And I’m a guest, and I’m trying to come back.” The Talk, which debuted in October 2010 as a rival to The View, welcomed Sheryl as a co-host in season two. She remained a main panelist until the series was canceled in December 2024.
