Muni Long Recalls Being ‘Hurt’ When Ne-Yo Threw Her Demo Out The Window, But Admits ‘It Was Terrible’
You must always keep an honest person in your circle.
#MuniLong is proof that hindsight really is 20/20. The Grammy-winning artist recalled on Threads a time Ne-Yo went the extra mile to show he wasn’t feeling her demo. Kicking the story off, Muni gave fellow singer #Mario his flowers, writing, “Let Me Love You – Mario is one of my favorite songs ever.” For those unaware, Ne-Yo is one of the writers behind the hit 2004 record. Muni Long continued, “Reminds me of the time Neyo threw my demo out the window on the freeway and I saw it fly over my windshield over the bridge and into the water.”
Replies quickly flooded in, with fans sharing their shock over the incident while also finding humor in it. One person posted a meme of an emotional Steve Harvey with the caption, “You watching your demo fly.” Muni Long responded, admitting she was, in fact, “hurt” by Ne-Yo’s blunt reaction. However, when another person asked if she feels differently now that she’s an accomplished singer, Muni Long said, “Yes. It was terrible, actually.” Seems like listening to #NeYo paid off in the end.
