J. Cole Says He Was ‘Disgusted’ Over How Peers & Public Picked Sides In Kendrick Lamar & Drake Beef
J. Cole appears to be torn over #KendrickLamar and Drake’s feud.
It’s been nearly two years since things came to a head between the former collaborators, and #JCole is opening up about how he really feels about the rap battle that played out on a global stage. In an upcoming episode of Cam’ron’s Talk With Flee podcast, Cole shares that while he’s proud of Kendrick for the run he had after coming out on top, he also believes people “used the opportunity” to pile on Drake while he was down. He adds that he was “disgusted” by how the situation turned political, with fans and peers choosing sides.
Cole also gave an update on where things stand now, saying he still has love for both artists, even if they don’t talk as often these days. In promotion for the podcast episode, set to drop Tuesday (Mar. 24), Cole and Cam even joked about their legal dispute, which now appears to be behind them. If you recall, Cam sued Cole last October, claiming the rapper backed out of a deal to appear on his podcast in exchange for a verse. According to Cam, after he held up his end, Cole allegedly switched up and gave him the runaround. Safe to say, the two seem to be in a much better place.
