Danity Kane’s D. Woods & Aundrea Deny False Advertising – Claim Aubrey O’Day Controls Group’s Social Media
Drama surrounding Danity Kane’s upcoming appearance at the LA Block Party is continuing to unfold, as members D. Woods and Aundrea Fimbres are now speaking out to clear up what they say has been widespread confusion among fans.
In a newly released statement, the two insist that the event is not falsely advertised, pushing back on claims that fans were misled about who would actually be performing. According to them, only D. Woods and Aundrea were ever scheduled to hit the stage — and they say the original announcement made that clear by tagging only the two of them.
The statement also emphasizes that Danity Kane has gone through multiple iterations over the past two decades, describing the upcoming performance as “another evolution” of the group. They maintain that the show will still feature official members performing Danity Kane songs, framing the moment as part of the group’s ongoing legacy rather than a misleading booking.
However, the situation appears to be deeper than just a lineup misunderstanding. D. Woods and Aundrea also allege that fellow member Aubrey O’Day currently controls the group’s social media accounts and has blocked other members from accessing official platforms.
They further claim there were plans to reunite with Aubrey for a 20-year anniversary celebration in 2026, but say those plans stalled after she declined to participate and refused to sign the necessary agreements. As a result, they say they’ve chosen to move forward with their own version of celebrating the group’s legacy, beginning with the LA Block Party performance.
