Update: Father Identified As G*nman Who K*lled 8 Children – 7 Were His Own, Police Say
New details are emerging in the devastating mass sh00ting that left eight children de@d in Shreveport, Louisiana — and authorities say the suspect was their father.
Police have identified the g#nman as 31-year-old Shamar Elkins, who officials say carried out the de@dly att@ck early Sunday morning across multiple locations. The victims ranged in age from about 1 to 14 years old.
Authorities say seven of the eight children kil!ed were Elkins’ own. Two women were also sh0t during the incident, with at least one reported to be in critical condition.
Investigators say the vi0lence stemmed from what they described as a domestic situation. The shootings unfolded across multiple homes in the Shreveport area, creating what officials called an extensive and complex crime scene.
After the sh00tings, Elkins fled the scene by carjacking a vehicle, leading police on a chase that ended in neighboring Bossier City, where he was fat@lly sh0t by officers.
Authorities say no additional suspects are being sought, and the investigation remains ongoing as officials work to piece together what led to one of the de@dliest mass sh00tings in the U.S. in recent years ?
