There might be a new reality show gunning for your attention soon.
A DC-based reality series called The District is in negotiations for a development deal, according to The Washingtonian. The show follows a group of millennial go-getters navigating the social and professional scene in the nation’s capital. It was created by Ricca, an events and marketing agency owner who moved to DC 15 years ago. Ricca is also a close friend of The Real Housewives of Potomac and Love Hotel star #AshleyDarby and has popped up on both #Bravo shows supporting his bestie. Teasing what’s to come, Ricca said, “Politicians come and go, but it’s really our circle that runs the streets,” adding that the series “will lift up the brunch, white linen tablecloth to show the underbelly of DC.”
While casting has reportedly shifted a few times, the series is expected to feature former Big Brother 25 contestant Mecole Hayes and Nneka Ihim, who had a one-season run on #RHOP. Despite her exit from the Housewives franchise, Nneka appears to still be close with some of her former co-stars and was recently seen having fun at an event alongside #GizelleBryant. A lot has changed for the businesswoman since viewers last saw her on the small screen, including welcoming her first child with her husband, Dr. Ikenna.
#TJBCrew, Ready for Nneka’s reality TV return? Does this sound like something you’d watch?
