Boosie Badazz Wanted By Police, Accused Of Hitting Security Guard With Hookah Base In Houston Nightclub
Boosie Badazz is facing new legal trouble in Texas.
According to Harris County court records, the Louisiana rapper, born Torrence Hatch Jr., has been charged with felony aggravated a**ault in connection with an alleged incident at a downtown Houston nightclub during Memorial Day weekend. Authorities have also issued a warrant for his arrest.
Investigators claim the altercation happened as the nightclub was closing in the early morning hours of May 24. Court documents allege a security guard was escorting a woman from the venue when the confrontation escalated.
Police say the security guard bent down to retrieve the woman’s belongings when he was struck in the back of the head. The guard later told officers he saw blood running down his face and allegedly observed Boosie holding a broken glass hookah base.
According to court records, the security guard required eight staples to close the wound. Prosecutors subsequently charged the rapper with felony aggravated a++ault.
As of Monday, Boosie had not been arrested.
FOX 26 Houston reported that the rapper was expected to appear in Harris County court, while the outlet also noted that it had reached out to his legal team for comment.
