Lil Durk’s Co-Defendants Say New RICO Allegations Could Unfairly Poison Jury In M*rder-For-Hire Trial

Lil Durk’s federal case is facing another split as two co-defendants push to stand trial without him.

On June 10, attorneys for DeAndre Wilson and David Lindsey asked a Los Angeles judge to sever their cases from Durk’s trial. They are among five co-defendants accused in the alleged 2022 m*rder-for-hire plot targeting Quando Rondo. Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a Robinson, was k*lled in the Los Angeles-area sh**ting.

The request follows a third superseding indictment adding racketeering allegations tied to Georgia sh**tings in 2019 and 2021, plus a 2022 Chicago murder. Wilson and Lindsey’s attorneys say those incidents are unrelated.

A jury asked to weigh the movants’ roles against three shootings in two other states, none charged to their own conduct, cannot realistically be expected to decide each defendant’s guilt as an individual rather than by reference to the enterprise the Government has built around them.

A hearing is set for July 1.
