Lil Wayne Ends Things With Alleged 23-Year-Old Fiancée, Says He Didn’t Want To Be ‘Such A Burden On Such An Amazing Person’
#LilWayne is officially back on the market!
In a video addressing recent controversy surrounding his “20 Years of Carter Classics” tour, the rapper clarified he was never actually engaged to 23-year-old Madi Cannon, saying the two “had a beautiful thing going,” but that he didn’t want to be “such a burden” on her.
Engagement rumors first popped up back in May. The breakup news comes amid a rocky tour start. As reported, Wayne skipped his Maine opener on June 30, later citing migraines and seizure risk. However, it’s reported that instead of the concert, Wayne showed up at Michael Rubin’s star-studded July 4 party. He’s next scheduled to perform in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 16, with the rescheduled Maine date set for July 28.
