Ex-Michigan Football Coach Moore’s Former Assistant & Mistress Sues University For Allegedly Withholding Cheating Scandal Record

Sherrone Moore’s crazy affair scandal is making headlines once again.

Paige Shiver, the former assistant who had an affair with the fired #Michiganfootball coach, filed suit against the university this week, alleging it has repeatedly stonewalled her requests for records tied to the investigation that led to his ouster. Shiver claims the school’s refusals violate Michigan’s Freedom of Information Act and is now asking a court to compel the release of the documents. Among what she’s sought: audio, video and transcripts from interviews conducted with her, her father and #SherroneMoore back in February; emails between Moore and athletic director Warde Manuel containing terms like “affair,” “pregnancy” and “abortion”; and correspondence involving the university’s outside law firm — all of which Michigan denied, citing an ongoing investigation, vagueness, or exemption. The suit also alleges Shiver faced s3x-based discrimination and a hostile work environment.

ICYMI: After the affair was exposed, Moore was fired in December 2025. Hours later, he was arrested for allegedly entering Shiver’s apartment and threatening self-harm. He ultimately received 18 months of probation after pleading no contest to two related charges.
