LeBron James In No Rush To Pick Next Team After Lakers Exit, NBA Insider Claims
Fans might have to wait a little for the update on what’s next for LeBron James.
#LeBronJames still isn’t ready to commit to his next team, and according to NBA insider and ESPN reporter Shams Charania, a resolution isn’t expected anytime soon — leaving the free agent market in limbo for potentially weeks longer. LeBron is reportedly spending some time with family and friends while he continues weighing his options for a record 24th NBA season. Reportedly, five teams are in play — Cleveland, Miami, Minnesota, Golden State and Philadelphia. Each carries a distinct pitch, from Cleveland’s full-circle homecoming and Miami’s familiarity to Minnesota’s ready-made roster around Anthony Edwards, a headline-grabbing pairing with Steph Curry in Golden State, or Philadelphia’s win-now core.
None of it seems to be speeding things up. Rich Paul has indicated the process won’t wrap quickly, and Charania’s reporting backs that up — LeBron is said to be searching for the situation that offers something close to complete happiness rather than rushing a call.
