[Update] Singer D4vd Ordered To Stand Trial For Celeste Rivas Hernandez M*rder After Judge Hears Evidence About Chainsaw Purchases & Alleged Teen Pregnancy

Singer D4vd is officially headed toward trial after a Los Angeles judge ruled prosecutors presented enough evidence to move forward in the k*lling of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

Judge Charlaine Olmedo found probable cause Monday following a five-day preliminary hearing, keeping m*rder, continuous s*xual ab*se of a child under 14 and unlawful mutilation of human remains charges in place.

“The people have met their burden on all counts,” Olmedo said. D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, remains jailed without bail and has pleaded not guilty.

The hearing revealed graphic forensic evidence, DNA allegedly matching Celeste inside Burke’s garage, purchases of chainsaws, cadaver bags and an inflatable pool, plus phone and Tesla data prosecutors say tied him to key locations. Investigators also presented texts indicating Celeste became pregnant at 13 and later had an abortion.

Prosecutors said Celeste’s phone went permanently silent after she arrived at Burke’s Hollywood Hills home on April 23, 2025. Her dismembered remains were found months later inside his impounded Tesla.

Burke’s arraignment is scheduled for August 31. A trial is expected within 90 days, while prosecutors have not decided whether to seek the d*ath penalty.
