Michael B. Jordan Stars In & Directs The Thomas Crown Affair, Playing A Sophisticated Art Thief
Michael B. Jordan is stepping into one of Hollywood’s most iconic roles.
Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for The Thomas Crown Affair, with Jordan starring as the wealthy businessman and master art thief. The upcoming film is a reimagining of the classic 1968 movie starring Steve McQueen and the 1999 remake led by Pierce Brosnan. Jordan also directs the project.
The trailer teases an action-packed game of cat and mouse as Thomas Crown travels the globe pulling off elaborate art thefts while finding himself drawn to an insurance investigator, played by Adria Arjona. The film also stars Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Aubrey Plaza, Ruth Negga, and Pilou Asbæk, with music composed by Grammy and Oscar winner Jon Batiste.
Jordan has previously described The Thomas Crown Affair as a longtime passion project. The first footage debuted earlier this year at CinemaCon, where audiences got a preview of the film’s mix of romance, luxury, suspense and high-stakes heists.
The Thomas Crown Affair is scheduled to hit theaters on March 5, 2027.
