[UPDATE] “Martin” Spinoff “The Varnell Hill Show” Officially Locks In September Release Date
“The Varnell Hill Show” is officially making its debut this September!
The eight-episode “Martin” spinoff will premiere on Paramount+ with two episodes dropping Sept. 1, followed by new episodes every Tuesday through Oct. 13. #TommyDavidson is returning as Varnell Hill nearly 30 years after the original series ended. Set behind the scenes of Hill’s fictional late-night talk show, the series follows the former star as he fights to maintain his relevance while navigating network executives, a chaotic writers’ room, celebrity guests, family drama, and his own larger-than-life ego. Kym Whitley, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Nick Cafero, Emmanuel Hudson and Chris Williams are also set to star, with guest appearances from names including Ms. Pat, Deon Cole, Damon Wayans, Mike Epps, Omarion and #MartinLawrence, who serves as an executive producer.
