[Update] TV Personality Sidney Starr Asks Judge For Bond, Says She’s Not A Flight Risk Amid Child S*x A$$ault Charges

Sidney Starr is asking a Georgia judge to release her on bond as she remains jailed on charges involving a minor.

The reality TV personality has been in custody since her August 2 arrest and argues that she should not be considered a flight risk or a thr*at. Starr points to having no criminal history, says she has lived in Chicago her entire life, and cites her television career as proof of strong ties outside Georgia.

Her financial situation is also central to the request. Starr describes herself as “indigent” and says she cannot afford more than a “nominal bond,” asking the court to set an amount within reach.

Starr was arrested after police responded to an Embassy Suites in Hapeville over an alleged s*xual encounter involving a minor. Court records list charges including aggravated child m*lestation, s*xual b*ttery against a child under 16, and sodomy.

According to police accounts, Starr told officers the person claimed to be 18. His parents later said he was younger than 16.

Starr has denied the allegations and plans to fight the case. A Georgia judge has not yet ruled on her bond request.
