North West may love experimenting with her appearance, but her parents apparently still have some boundaries when it comes to her piercings.
The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West opened up about her signature style in a new Dazed interview. When asked why she loves piercings, North explained, “They just make you your full self.” But there’s one she hasn’t gotten permission for: “I really want to get my bridge pierced, but I’m not allowed.” A bridge piercing typically sits across the upper bridge of the nose, between the eyes.
North has already experimented with several bold looks, including blue hair, a temporary blacked-out grill and dermal piercings. Addressing criticism of her style, she previously summed up what she wants pretty simply: “Everyone’s in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff. All I want is blue hair and piercings.”
Kim has also spoken about her daughter’s confidence amid criticism of her appearance, recalling North telling her, “Mom, I saw this, and I don’t really care that they don’t like… my blue hair or this or that.” Kim added, “She’s really confident.”
