Former Disney Star Raquel Lee Reportedly Reached Confidential Settlement w/ Mark Curry Years Before Suing Disney Over Alleged S3xual Ab*se
A new detail has emerged in former child star Raquel Lee Bolleau’s lawsuit against Disney. Lee reportedly reached a confidential settlement with actor Mark Curry back in 2015 — years before filing her current lawsuit accusing Disney of failing to protect her from alleged s3xual ab*se as a teenager. Curry played Lee’s father in the 2001 Disney Channel movie The Poof Point.
According to reports, attorney Gloria Allred represented Lee in the private settlement. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. The reported settlement does not mean Curry admitted wrongdoing.
The revelation comes after Lee, now 39, sued Disney, alleging an unnamed middle-aged male employee repeatedly s3xually a$$aulted her while she was filming The Poof Point at age 14. Her lawsuit claims the employee supplied her with alcohol and that adults working on the production failed to intervene despite signs something was wrong.
Lee is seeking damages from Disney for alleged negligence, emotional distress and economic losses. The employee accused in her new lawsuit is not identified by name in the complaint, and reports about the prior Curry settlement do not establish that he is the unnamed employee referenced in the Disney lawsuit.
