California’s Alleged Repeat “Butt Sniffer” Behind Bars Again After Being Caught Bending Down Behind Shoppers At Stores

Third time’s not the charm. Calese Crowder, a 39-year-old registered s3x offender with a lengthy history of similar arrests across the #SanFernandoValley, was taken back into custody last week by the Glendale Police Department. Officers responded to a business on the 1500 block of Glenoaks Boulevard, near Jefferson Elementary School, after witnesses reported seeing Crowder crouching down and moving close to other people. Surveillance video from the Big Sav Discount Store showed him crouching near an employee restocking shelves — something the store’s manager said was the third time he’d witnessed Crowder engage in that behavior at his store, describing it as “a weird fetish” and recalling how creepy the first incident looked to him.

Police also linked Crowder to a comparable incident at a nearby #Marshalls, and after reviewing footage from both businesses, investigators identified him and tracked him down on the 100 block of South Brand Boulevard. He was arrested for violating his parole and, as of the report, was being held without bail while a court decides next steps.

This is far from Crowder’s first run-in with police over this kind of conduct. He was previously re-arrested in August 2025 following a similar incident at a Burbank Walgreens, admitting to a parole violation and serving more than 100 days in jail. A month before that, he’d been detained after allegedly following and crouching near a woman at a Nordstrom Rack and Walmart in Burbank. His documented pattern goes back to 2023, when he drew national attention after a woman filmed him crouching near her at a Burbank Barnes & Noble — a video that racked up millions of views online.
