Kid Cudi Tells Media Personality Peter Rosenberg He Doesn’t Care If He’s ‘Disappointed’ Over Kanye Reconciliation

Kid Cudi is standing firm on his decision to reconcile with longtime friend and collaborator Kanye West.

Radio personality Peter Rosenberg criticized people who have recently shown support for Ye, writing that he was “disappointed in a lot of people” while pointing to Kanye’s controversial “He!l H!tler” song. Rosenberg said he believes in forgiveness and empathy, but suggested Kanye’s recent actions were too serious to overlook.

Cudi responded directly, making it clear that his nearly two-decade relationship with Kanye plays a major role in how he views the situation.

I understand ur frustration Peter, I f*cks w u, but I dont really care if ur disappointed in me. That man is my brother. U dont have a relationship w him like I do. Damn near 2 decades of art and friendship. U not family.”

Cudi also claimed Kanye is currently in a much better place and said their conversations remind him of the early days of their relationship.

Ive been around Ye, and I can honestly say talking to him now is how it use to be when I first signed to him, but even better.”

He added that he previously held Kanye accountable and believes the rapper’s apology to him was genuine.

“I was the hardest on him out of anybody. I held him accountable. He apologized and it was sincere.”

Cudi ended his response by reiterating that he views Kanye as family, telling Rosenberg, “But like I said, u not family so I get it.”
