TV Producer Carlos King Defends Decision To Bring Arionne Curry, Who Martell Holt Had Affair With, On ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’

Carlos King is explaining why Arionne Curry is now appearing on Love & Marriage: Huntsville — and why he intentionally waited until Melody Shari was no longer part of the show.

During an appearance on Tamron Hall, the reality TV producer addressed the controversial decision, noting that Martell Holt’s affair with Arionne had been part of the show’s storyline from the beginning. “For the first nine seasons of her being on the show, this affair was a topic of conversation, season one, episode one,” he said.

Despite the affair being discussed on camera, Carlos said he deliberately kept Arionne off the show while Melody was still a cast member. “I made the executive decision to never bring Arionne on while Melody was there,” he explained. “Yes, this is the reality, but I did not want Melody to ever face the woman that her husband had the affair with on the show.”

Carlos said he’s proud that he maintained that boundary throughout Melody’s time on the series. “Whether it happens in real life, that’s fine. And I am proud to say that for nine years, that never happened. Nine years.” He then pointed out, “It’s been two years since Melody left the show,” as he continued explaining why the situation is different now.
