The legal battle surrounding Chadwick Boseman’s legacy is reportedly getting even more complicated, with a documentary about the late Black Panther star now becoming another point of contention between his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, and his family.

According to TMZ, Taylor says she has been working on a documentary celebrating Chadwick’s life but claims his family has made the process difficult. She reportedly says the family previously participated in the project before withdrawing their cooperation.

The documentary dispute comes amid an ongoing fight over Chadwick’s estate. His brothers, Derrick and Kevin Boseman, have asked a court to remove Taylor as administrator, alleging she failed to properly distribute and account for estate assets. Taylor has denied wrongdoing, calling their legal action a “public-relations stunt” and maintaining that she has complied with the court’s orders.

Taylor also claims she has paid Chadwick’s parents, Carolyn and Leroy Boseman, more than $1.7 million since 2022. The family dispute comes six years after Chadwick died from complications of colon cancer in August 2020 at age 43.
